Spicy Maple Bacon Beef Burger
We love burger week and we really love getting creative with the burger ideas. This one here, is a no brainer if you ask me!
Really easy to pull together and the highlight of the dish was definitely the spicy maple glaze using the Evoolution Vermont Maple Dark Balsamic Vinegar.
Prep Time: 25 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Serving Size: 3-4 Burgers
Burger Patty Ingredients
1lb Ground Beef
1 Egg
1 Tsp. Liquid Smoke
Salt & Pepper to taste
Spicy Maple BBQ Sauce/Glaze Ingredients
1/2 Cup Ketchup
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
2-4 Tbsp. Evoolution Vermont Maple Dark Balsamic
1-2 Tsp. Sriracha
Burger Ingredients
3-4 Brioche Buns, light toasted
1/2 Yellow Onion, sliced in rings
1/3 Cup of Butter
3-4 Slices of White Cheese
Salt & Pepper to taste
Bacon slices, cooked as per packaging
Mayo for dressing the Buns
Directions
Combine all sauce ingredients in a small pot and mix well then bring to a light simmer.
Combine all burger patty ingredients together in a large bowl but do not over mix. Form into 3-4 patties and slightly flatten putting a small dent in the middle to help them keep their shape.
Cook the patties on indirect heat on the BBQ, ensuring fully cooked and flipping 1/2 way through.
While the patties are cooking, saute up the onion rings on high heat with butter salt & pepper to really caramelize the onions.
When the burger patties are almost done, brush desired amount of spicy maple glaze on the patties (we like to go a little heavier) and then add a slice of cheese. Allow the cheese to melt slightly then remove and prepare the bun with the mayo, bacon and caramelized onion.
