Fresh Salmon Burgers
Salmon is such a delicious and unexpected treat in our house. The Mr. isn’t overly fond of Salmon, apparently hes had some bad experiences with bones before which has tainted his view on Salmon. I have never experienced bones really in my salmon so for me it is a little disappointing that we don’t get to eat it very often. Either way, he enjoyed the burgers so that’s a win for me!
Serving Size: 2 Patties
Ingredients
1 lb. Salmon
1/2 Cup Crackers or Flaked Oats
1 Egg
1/4 Cup Red Onion, minced
1/2 Tsp. Salt
1/2 Tsp. Pepper
1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder
Topping Ingredients
1 Tomato, sliced
1/2 Red Onion, sliced
1/2 Cup Chipotle Mayo
1 Avocado, chopped into chunks
Directions
Mix all ingredients together except bun on ‘toppings’. Form into patties and press flat onto parchment paper. Allow to sit in the fridge covered for 30-45 minutes.
Heat the BBQ up to desired heat (around 400F) and then place patties on the BBQ. Cook bout 15 minutes, flipping 1/2 way through.
Serve on a toasted bun with a chipotle mayo, avocado, tomato and red onion.
