HOLY MOLY. That is all you need to know. Vegetarian Burgers never tasted so good!

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 35-40 minutes

Serving Size: 2

Ingredients

  • 2 Portobello Mushrooms

  • 1/2 Red Pepper, sliced

  • 1/2 Green Pepper, sliced

  • 1/4-1/2 Red or White Onion, sliced

  • 2 Slices of Havarti Cheese

  • 1-2 Tbsp. Soy Sauce

  • 1 Tsp. JamDinners Steak Spice

  • 1 Tsp. Salt & Pepper

  • 1 Tsp. Garlic Powder

  • 1-2 Tsp. Worchestershire Sauce

  • 5-6 Tsp. Olive Oil or Vegetable Oil

Directions

  • Lay the portobellos gills up in a large container and combine the Worcestershire, soy sauce, salt, olive oil, pepper and garlic powder together in a measuring glass. Drizzle the mixture overtop of the gills, cover the container and allow to sit in the fridge for a minimum of 1 hour.

  • In a medium pan heat the oil and then add in the peppers and onion. Season with the Steak Spice. Saute until vegetables are almost fully cooked - approx. 5-7 minutes on medium to high heat.

  • Remove vegetables from heat.

  • When you are ready to begin cooking the portobellos, preheat BBQ to about 350F-400F degrees.

  • Lay the mushrooms on the BBQ tops down and allow to cook, really working to get some grill marks on the tops of them. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, then flip, add in the sautéd veggies and cook about 2-3 minutes. Add the sliced cheese on top of that and cook another 2-3 minutes..

  • Remove from the BBQ, serve on a Calabrese bun with mayo and horseradish.
