Honey Hot Chicken

YUMMY. SIMPLE. Honey Hot Chicken is a great way to switch up that chicken and rice you are always eating without creating a ton more work. We didn’t even garnish it to show how truly simple it is. We are a HUGE chicken household. To be honest, most of the recipes without chicken are simply made to provide content for the blog and to get creative. We <3 Chicken.

Ingredients

  • 2 Chicken Breast

  • 1/2 Cup Honey

  • 1/2 Cup Franks Hot Sauce

  • 1-2 Tbsp. Margarine

  • 2-3 Tsp. Garlic Powder

  • 1-2 Tsp. Salt

  • 1-2 Tsp. Pepper

Directions

  • Heat up your BBQ to about 400F-500F degrees. Season both sides of the chicken with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

  • Spray the BBQ with cooking spray then lay out the chicken and cook until their internal temperature reaches minimally 165F degrees. Flip the chicken 1/2 way through.

  • While the chicken is cooking, melt the margarine in a small sauce pan over medium heat on the stove top.

  • Once the margarine is melted add the honey, hot sauce and 1-2 tsp. of Garlic Powder. Whisk together and allow to bubble over medium-low heat. This allows it to thicken.

  • Once chicken is cooked, brush both sides with the honey hot sauce. Serve immediately on a bed of rice or with vegetables. Drizzle additional honey hot sauce over rice and/or veggies!
