French Onion Dip
Looking for a fast and easy dip to wow your guests for Super Bowl? This French Onion Dip is pretty tasty and close to your favourite Helluva Good dip!
Ingredients
1.5 Cups White Onion, chopped
1 Cup Mayonnaise
1 Cup Sour Cream
2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
1-2 Tsp. Garlic Powder
1-2 Tsp. Salt
1-2 Tsp. Pepper
Directions
Heat the oil in a pan, add the onions and half of the salt, pepper and garlic powder. Saute about 5-6 minutes or until onions get a nice caramelized color and a good aroma. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
Combine all remaining ingredients together in a large bowl, add in the sautéed onions and raw onions and allow to sit in the fridge for minimally 2 hours before serving. Best if made the day before.
MAKE IT EASY - Use only sour cream instead of half sour cream, half mayo.
MAKE IT EXTRA - Swap some of the kosher salt for celery salt and you can use a hand blender to get the onions even smaller.
