Creamy Garlic Mushrooms

I am always looking to get creative with the side dishes for special occasions and holidays. I am taking advantage of the smaller holiday gatherings this year thanks to COVID to get even MORE creative. It is so satisfying to turn a simple mushroom side dish into a creamy and savory dish. These mushrooms are perfect.

Ingredients

  • 8-12 White Mushrooms

  • 1/2 Cup Cream

  • 1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese

  • 4 Cloves Garlic, minced

  • 2 Tbsp. Margarine

  • 1 Tsp. Salt

  • 1 Tsp. Pepper

  • 1 Tsp. Red Chili Flakes

  • 1 Tsp. Oregano

  • 1 Tsp. Parsley Flakes

Directions

  • Heat margarine in a pan over medium heat and add mushrooms/garlic. Allow to cook until garlic is fragrant, about 5-6 minutes. Sprinkle with all seasoning except the chili flakes.

  • Continue to cook up another 1-2 minutes. Add in the cream and allow it thicken.

  • Once thickened (about 2-3 minutes), reduce the heat and add in the Parmesan cheese and chili flakes. Mix well.

  • Simmer on low until ready to serve.
