Creamy Garlic Mushrooms
I am always looking to get creative with the side dishes for special occasions and holidays. I am taking advantage of the smaller holiday gatherings this year thanks to COVID to get even MORE creative. It is so satisfying to turn a simple mushroom side dish into a creamy and savory dish. These mushrooms are perfect.
Ingredients
8-12 White Mushrooms
1/2 Cup Cream
1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese
4 Cloves Garlic, minced
2 Tbsp. Margarine
1 Tsp. Salt
1 Tsp. Pepper
1 Tsp. Red Chili Flakes
1 Tsp. Oregano
1 Tsp. Parsley Flakes
Directions
Heat margarine in a pan over medium heat and add mushrooms/garlic. Allow to cook until garlic is fragrant, about 5-6 minutes. Sprinkle with all seasoning except the chili flakes.
Continue to cook up another 1-2 minutes. Add in the cream and allow it thicken.
Once thickened (about 2-3 minutes), reduce the heat and add in the Parmesan cheese and chili flakes. Mix well.
Simmer on low until ready to serve.
