2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 Cup Warm Water (120F-130F)
1/4 Cup Oil
2 Tsp. Sugar
1 & 1/3 Tsp. Salt
Creamy Pizza Sauce Ingredients
1 1/4 Cup 1% Milk
1/3 Cup Parmesan Cheese
2 Tbsp. Flour
2 Tbsp. Margarine
2 Tsp. Garlic Powder
1 Tsp. Salt
1 Tsp. Pepper
Pizza Topping Ingredients
1 Cup Mozzarella Cheese. shredded
3/4 Cup White Pizza Sauce (from our Chicken Bacon Pizza)
3/4 Cup Arugula (Optional)
1/2 Pack of Bacon, cooked and crumbled
3/4 White Onion, sliced
2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
2 Tsp. Pepper
2 Tsp. Oregano
1-2 Tsp. Truffle Salt
Directions
Start with the dough as it takes the longest. Mix the warm water and yeast together and set aside for 10 minutes. While that is waiting, mix the flour, salt and sugar together in the stand mixer with the dough hook. After 10 minutes, add the yeast mixture to the flour mixture slowly and the oil. Mix well.
Once the dough is fully kneaded, remove from the mixing bowl. Spray the mixing bowl with oil, form the dough into a large bowl and return to the bowl. Cover with a towel and allow to sit on the counter for 1-2 hours. 1/2 way through, punch the dough down and form into a ball again then reset.
Next work with the sauce, in a pan over medium heat, melt the margarine then add the flour and whisk well. Whisk until combined with the margarine and lightly yellowing.
Add in the milk and allow it the thicken. Also add in the spices. Combine.
Finally, remove from the heat and add in the parmesan cheese. Mix until cheese in melted. Allow it to cook. Set aside.
Pre-heat oven to 400F degrees. Sprinkle the counter with flour and roll out the dough to desired thickness. You are likely to get 2 good sized pizzas out of this.
Transfer to a lightly greased baking sheet. Place in the oven for 5 minutes to firm up the crust.
Remove from the oven and begin to dress. Starting with the white cream sauce, spread generously across the pizza. Add the bacon and onion the sprinkle with cheese. Top with pepper and truffle salt.
Lightly brush the edges with olive oil and sprinkle with oregano.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted. Top with fresh arugula if desired and serve!
