Thai Chili & Korean BBQ Cauli-Wings

We are SUCKERS for wings … but sometimes you have to switch it up for something healthier. You may have seen our Buffalo Cauli Wings before and they are so damn good! This is the same base recipe with 2 different sauces: Thai Chili and Korean BBQ. We like to whip these 2 flavors up with our original Buffalo Cauli-Wings!

Serving Size: 3ish

Base Cauil-Wing Ingredients

  • 1 Head of Cauliflower, chopped/crowned

  • 1 Cup Flour

  • 1 Cup Milk

  • 1 Cup Panko Bread Crumbs

  • 2 Tsp. Garlic Powder

  • 1 Tsp. Chili Powder

  • 1 Tsp. Salt

  • 1 Tsp. Pepper

Korean BBQ Sauce Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Soy Sauce

  • 1/3 Cup Brown Sugar

  • 1/4 Cup Green Onion, sliced

  • 2 Tsp. Sesame Seeds

  • 1 Tbsp. Garlic Powder

  • 1Tbsp. Rice Wine Vinegar

  • 1 Tbsp. Water

  • 2 Tsp. Corn Starch

  • 1 Tsp. Sesame Oil

  • 1/2 Tsp. Ginger, grated

  • 1/2 Tsp. Pepper

Thai Chili Ingredients

  • 3/4 Cup Thai Chili Sauce

  • 1/4 Cup Green Onion, sliced

Directions

  • Pre-heat over to 450F degrees and line a baking pan with parchment paper. Combine flour, milk, garlic powder, chili powder, salt and pepper in a bowl and mix well.

  • Once cauliflower has been rinsed, dried and chopped into bite size pieces dip pieces one at a time in the flour mixture allowing excess mixture to drip off. Then dip into the panko crumbs and ensure the cauliflower is evenly covered. Place coated piece onto the baking pan and repeat for all other pieces.

  • Bake for 30 minutes then remove from oven.

  • While the bites are cooking, start on the korean BBQ sauce. Combine all of those ingredients in a small pot with the exception of the water, corn starch, green onion and sesame seeds. Combine the water and cornstarch in a small bowl to create a sludgy mixture. Bring to a slight boil then add the sludgy water mixture and simmer for 5-6 minutes. Pour into a bowl for tossing the caul-bites in.

  • Fill another medium sized bowl with the thai chili sauce (and a third bowl with hot sauce if you are wanting to do all 3 flavors).

  • Once the cauli-bites have cooked for 30 minutes, split the cauli-bites into 2 (or 3 portions if you are doing buffalo as well) and toss into the various bowls of sauce and toss around until all bites are fully covered by the desired sauces. Feel free to use more or less sauce depending on preferences.

  • Dump the 3 flavors of cauli-bites back on the pan and back for 10 more minutes. IF you desire additional cripsy-ness, broil after for another 2 minutes then remove from the oven. Serve with your favorite ranch or blue cheese dressing and fresh vegetables.
