Teriyaki Salmon
I love being able to take advantage of salmon meals when the Mr isn’t home and this was the perfect opportunity … ahead of my mom’s birthday because that woman also loves salmon! Check this one out that has a little kick!
Spicy Asian Sauce Ingredients
1-2-3/4 Cup Soya Sauce
2 Heaping Tbsp. Chili Paste
4-5 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
1 Tbsp. Oyster Sauce
7 Cloves of Garlic, minced
Salmon Ingredients
2 Salmon Fillets
1/2 Tsp. Salt
1/2 Tsp. Pepper
1/2 Tsp. Garlic Powder
1/2 Cup Green Onions, chopped
Sesame Seeds for garnish
Cooking Spray
Directions
Combine all the sauce ingredients in a small pot and turn on medium heat until just bubbling then reduce to simmer and thicken. Allow to sit there until you need it.
Spray a medium pan with cooking spray then warm over medium heat. Once it has heated as desired, add the salmon fillets, season both sides and allow the salmon to cook/sear about 5-6 minutes per side depending.
Once the salmon is essentially done, reduce the heat the drizzle the teriyaki sauce over top, ensuring the salmon is fully covered. Allow to finish.
Serve with fresh veggies and rice. Once plated, sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions. You can even drizzle with some sriracha for extra heat.
MAKE IT EASY - Use a pre-bottled teriyaki sauce to save time.
MAKE IT EXTRA - Grill the salmon on some tinfoil on the BBQ or on a cedar plank and brush the teriyaki sauce on it.
