Philly Cheese 'Steak' Stuffed Portobellos

I don’t even know who reads these intros? I mean when I want to look up someones recipe I hardly read what they write … I am interested in the recipe only. So if someone scrolls way past all my blabbering too .. I do not blame them. But should you be reading all of this and you’ve made it to this point, this vegetarian dish is a literal favorite in our house for #meatlessmonday. Add it to your list.

  • 2 Portobello Mushrooms

  • 1/2 Red Pepper, sliced

  • 1/2 Green Pepper, sliced

  • 1/4-1/2 Red or White Onion, sliced

  • 2/3 Cup Mozza Cheese, shredded

  • 1-2 Tbsp. Soy Sauce

  • 1 Tsp. JamDinners Italian Seasoning

  • 1 Tsp. Worchestershire Sauce

Directions

  • Pre-heat the oven to 350F degrees. In a medium pan heat the oil and then add in the peppers and onion. Season with the Steak Spice and Italian Seasoning.

  • Saute until vegetables are almost fully cooked - approx. 5-7 minutes on medium to high heat.

  • Remove vegetables from heat.

  • Lightly drizzle oil over portobellos and rub in. Lay the portobellos, gill side up and scoop generous portions of the onion/pepper mixture onto the top. Sprinkle both with hearty portions of mozza cheese.

  • Bake about 5-7 minutes then broil briefly to brown the cheese.
