Montreal Smoked Meat Poutine
I write these over and over again and think 2 things …. One: Nobody cares. Two: I start almost every post with the same thing. Why? lol. Who cares. We wanted to make this poutine for Canada Day so we made this poutine for Canada Day. End of story.
Serving Size: 2 Poutines
Ingredients
1/2 Bag of Cavendish Flavor Crisp Fries
1.5 Cups Cheese Curds
1.5 Cups Chopped Smoked Sandwich Meat
1/2 Pack of Packaged Poutine Gravy, prepared as per packaging
1/2 Cup Green Onions, chopped
1/4 Cup Horseradish Spread
1-2 Tsp. Pepper
Directions
Cook the fries as per packaging. While the fries are cooking pull the cheese curds out to sit at room temperature, making them easier to melt when you drizzle the gravy over them.
Prep the gravy as per the packaging also.
Once the fries and gravy are done add the fries to 2 bowls, split the cheese curds evenly then add them to the tops of the fries in the bowl.
Drizzle with 1/2 of the horseradish spread, add the chopped smoked meat then add additional horseradish if desired. Top with the chopped green onion and additional pepper.
