Kickin' Guacamole Burger

Beef Tacos are delicious .. so why wouldn’t a beef taco burger also be delicious? That were our thoughts (or my thoughts mostly) when we were putting together ideas for burger week. We pulled together this kickin’ guacamole burger and it was everything I had envisioned when we discussed creating it. It has so much flavor and heat, and is the perfect combination of mexican and BBQ season cooking. This was also my sneaky way of slipping in a mexican dish into burger week! Sorry Mark haha … i love you!

Ingredients

  • 2 Burger Buns

  • 1/2 Lb. Ground Beef

  • 1 Avocado, chopped or mashed

  • 2 Slices of Habanero Cheddar Cheese

  • 1 Tomato, 1/2 cut into slices and 1/2 chopped

  • 1/4 Red Onion, 1/2 cut into rings and 1/2 chopped

  • 1 Jalapeno, 1/2 cut into slices, 1/2 finely chopped

  • 2 Romaine Lettuce Leaves

  • 4-6 Tbsp. Jalapeno Ranch Dressing

  • 2-4 Tsp. Taco Seasoning

  • 2-4 Tsp. Valentina’s Hot Sauce

Directions

  • Form the ground beef into 2 equal sizes and form into burger patties. Season both sides with taco seasoning.

  • Lightly toast the buns and set aside. Prep all the veggies.

  • Combine the chopped veggies in a small bowl and add a little garlic powder, create a sort of pico de gallo. Allow to sit in the fridge.

  • Cook the burger patties over medium/high heat on the BBQ. Flipping 1/2 way through. Once the patties are almost cooked, add a slice of cheese to the top of each and allow to melt slightly.

  • Evenly spread the jalapeno ranch on both insides of the buns, then add the red onions (to the bottom), tomato, jalapeno and lettuce (to the top). Lay the beef patty on the bottom bun then top with smashed avocado and the pico de gallo. Drizzle with valentina’s and enjoy!

  • Pair it with a simple taco salad and it fully completes the entire meal.
