Herby Butter Steak
Who doesn’t love an easy and flavorful butter melted on top of their piping hot steak. Makes me feel fancy that’s for sure.
Ingredients
2 Steaks
2-3 Tbsp. Butter
1.5 Tsp Salt
1.5 Tsp. Pepper
1.5 Tsp. Garlic
1 Tsp. Fresh Oregano
1 Tsp. Fresh Sage
1 Tsp. Fresh
1 Tsp. Fresh Parsley
Fresh Thyme Twigs
Directions
Remove the butter from the fridge to allow to soften. Add the fresh spices (except the Thyme) and 1/2 tsp of each salt, pepper and garlic powder. Mix well with the butter.
Season the steaks with remaining salt, pepper and garlic powder. Set aside.
Cook the steak as desired - we typically BBQ until medium rare.
Remove steak from cooking surface, plate ASAP with desired sides and add 1 tsp of butter on top of each steak quickly so it begins to melt. Top with a twig of Thyme and serve.
MAKE IT EASY - Use our Italian Seasoning or preferred dried seasonings from your cupboard.
MAKE IT EXTRA - Whip the butter together and make a larger portion then freeze some for later use.
MAKE IT VEGETARIAN - Use the herby butter on potatoes or vegetables instead of steak.
