BLT Breakfast Sammies

Oh man, who doesn’t like a good ol’ breakfast sammie? We paired all the goodness of a BLT with our Cheddar Jalapeno Bagels and made a delicious meal to start your day off right! Get it in ya! Obviously if you don’t have the time or desire to make the bagels, 2 fresh slices of Rye bread will do the trick.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cheddar Jalapeno Bagel

  • 2 Pieces of Bacon, cooked and halved

  • 1 Egg, cooked over easy

  • 1 Tomato Slice

  • Romain Lettuce

  • 2 Tbsp. Mayonnaise

  • 1 Tsp. Pepper

  • Cooking Spray

Directions

  • Spray a medium pan with cooking spray and heat up over medium heat. Crack an egg directly in the pan and sprinkle with pepper.

  • Cook until underside is browning, about 4-5 minutes. Then flip and cook the other side about 2 minutes so the yolk is still runny. Sprinkle with remaining pepper.

  • Toast the bagel while the egg is cooking then lather both sides of the bagel with mayo. Top with tomato, lettuce, cooked bacon and finally the egg! Add a slice of cheese if desired! Voila! The perfect Saturday morning breakfast.

  • The best part is dipping the bagel that has a little heat in it, into the running egg yolk am I right?
