Mini Donuts

Yeeehaaaaw! The true Stampede food. Mini Donuts. These little babies are a staple when visiting the greatest outdoor show on Earth! It’s a check off the ol’ list when you grab these babies. Given that Stampede is cancelled this year (thanks a lot COVID!) We had to make these babies at home. We baked them so you do lose some of that deep fry taste but they are a great substitute this year! Give em a try!

Donut Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 Cup Flour

  • 1/2 Cup Sugar

  • 1/2 Cup Buttermilk

  • 1 Egg

  • 1.5 Tbsp. Margarine

  • 1 Tsp. Baking Powder

  • 3/4 Tsp. Salt

  • 1/4 Tsp. Nutmeg

Dipping Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Cinnamon Sugar ( 1/2 Cup Sugar, 1-2 Tbsp. Cinnamon)

  • 1/2 Cup Melted Margarine

Directions

  • Pre-heat oven to 350F degrees. In a large bowl combine donut dry ingredients and sift well.

  • Add the wet donut ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix well.

  • Spray your donut pans with cooking spray and fill each cup about 1/2-3/4 full.

  • Bake 5-7 minutes or until the tops are a light golden brown and spring back when lightly touched. Allow them to sit 1-2 minutes.
