Mini Donuts
Yeeehaaaaw! The true Stampede food. Mini Donuts. These little babies are a staple when visiting the greatest outdoor show on Earth! It’s a check off the ol’ list when you grab these babies. Given that Stampede is cancelled this year (thanks a lot COVID!) We had to make these babies at home. We baked them so you do lose some of that deep fry taste but they are a great substitute this year! Give em a try!
Donut Ingredients
1 1/4 Cup Flour
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Buttermilk
1 Egg
1.5 Tbsp. Margarine
1 Tsp. Baking Powder
3/4 Tsp. Salt
1/4 Tsp. Nutmeg
Dipping Ingredients
1/2 Cup Cinnamon Sugar ( 1/2 Cup Sugar, 1-2 Tbsp. Cinnamon)
1/2 Cup Melted Margarine
Directions
Pre-heat oven to 350F degrees. In a large bowl combine donut dry ingredients and sift well.
Add the wet donut ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix well.
Spray your donut pans with cooking spray and fill each cup about 1/2-3/4 full.
Bake 5-7 minutes or until the tops are a light golden brown and spring back when lightly touched. Allow them to sit 1-2 minutes.
Individually dip each donut into the melted butter then into the cinnamon sugar mix. Enjoy hot!
