Garlic Butter Croutons

These are to die for …. hands down one of my favorite truly SIMPLE recipe. It is also so cheap and handy when you have a baguette laying around. You can use these in soup, on salads or for a quick snack while cooking lol.

Ingredients

  • 1 Fresh Baguette

  • 3 Tbsp. Butter/Margarine, melted

  • 3 Tsp. Garlic Powder

  • 1 .5 Tsp. Salt

  • 1 .5 Tsp. Pepper

  • 1.5 Tsp. Italian Seasoning

Directions

  • Pre-heat oven to 375F degrees. Slice the baguette and then cut each slice into 4’s. You can make the slices as thick or as thin as your like.

  • In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and seasonings. Mix well. Add the bread pieces and toss well until all pieces are covered.

  • Transfer to a flat baking sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes, turn some of the bread pieces and bake for another 5 minutes or until desired crisp is achieved. Use immediately with your favorite dish or store in a sealable container for a week or so.
