Fried Pickles
Everyone loves a good pickle right? Well to be honest, I was never a fan of pickles growing up. Slowly as I have matured I have grown to love them! I call them fried pickles, not deep fried pickles because we just fry them in a little oil on the stove or in our air fryer. Also, in case you didn’t know … November 14th is National Pickle Day so we figured this is the perfect recipe to share with you all!
Ingredients
4-6 Pickles, sliced length wise into 4 even portions
1 Cup Flour
1 Cup Panko Bread Crumbs
1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
2 Eggs
1 Tsp. Paprika
1 Tsp. Pepper
1 Tsp. Salt
1 Tsp. Dill
Directions
Slice the pickles, dab dry with a paper towel and set aside.
Grab 3 separate bowls; in 1 whisk the paprika and eggs together, in the second fill with the flour and remaining spices. Mix well. Finally, pour the bread crumbs into the 3rd bowl.
Dredge a pickle slice in the wet mixture then the flour mixture, then repeat once more before dipping it in the bread crumbs. Ensure it is fully covered with breadcrumbs then place on a clean dry plate. Repeat for each pickle slice. Allow to site 5 minutes before frying.
Pour the oil in the frying pan and heat to medium-high heat. Once oil is hot enough, carefully place the pickles in the pan. Allow to cook, flipping every 5-8 minutes or until each side is golden brown and fully cooked.
Serve with ranch dip or a Chili Aioli!
